Welcome to Me+TV’s 2016 Fall TV Preview! This page is about NBC’s new fall shows, if that is what you’re looking for, read on. If not, head back to the WELCOME PAGE or click the logo the network you’d like to read about instead.
Quick! What’s it About? Parenthood + (Sense8 – Action).
Whose Involved? The stacked cast is lead by Mandy Moore (Tangled), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Sterling K. Brown (The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story).
When will it Air? Tuesdays at 9.
First Impression: This Is Us looks perfectly solid, and certainly has potential to become more than that. They have a stacked list of performers, and the trailer alone packs a definite emotional punch. Will it rise beyond what Parenthood accomplished on the same network? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be commended for giving it a shot.
Will I Watch? Probably not. That’s no knock against This Is Us, like I said the show looks fine, but in the era of Peak TV, fine isn’t enough.

Quick! What’s it About?: Reverse Kimmy Schmidt, in Heaven.
Whose Involved?: Created by Michael Schur (Parks and Rec, Brooklyn Nine Nine), directed by Drew Goddard (The Cabin In The Woods, The Martian) and starring Kristen Bell (Frozen, House Of Lies) and Ted Danson (Cheers)
When will it Air?: Thursdays at 8:30 (After Superstore)
First Impression: With the talent involved, it’s no surprise that The Good Place looks incredibly promising. Creator Michael Schur has yet to fail, and Kristen Bell and Ted Danson are undeniably talented performers. The premise is a little strange, and the trailer does have a couple moments that fall worryingly flat. But there’s simply too much talent on and off camera for this show to fail, even it does take a few episodes for them to figure it out.
Will I Watch? Definitely

Quick! What’s it About?: Would you kill Baby Hitler? The TV Show
Whose Involved?: Timeless comes from producers Eric Kripke (Revolution) and Shawn Ryan (Shield, Lie To Me). It stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter and Malcolm Barrett.
When will it Air?: Mondays at 10
First Impression: First and foremost, this is an awful trailer, let’s just get that out of the way now. As for the show itself, time travel is so hard to pull off (Just look at how much Legends Of Tomorrow struggled this year), and there’s very little here to suggest that Timeless is going to crack the formula. The only way I could see this show succeeding is if they lean into the campiness hard and go full National Treasure: A sweeping, silly, nonsensical historical adventure, only on TV and without Nic Cage. Also, turn down the “funny black guy” stereotyping like 5000 notches.
Will I Watch? Out of pure curiosity, I’ll probably watch the first episode, I can’t see myself doing any more than that though.
